BBQ

To the left is a great burning done by Barb Cramer ( http://www.Art4youbycramer.com)and she was kind enough to let it be used here. She also sent it to me as a quilt square and it seems the perfect image for this section. Click to enlarge!

The following recipe was submitted by Frank R. Yakovich ....thanks!

I am a retired chef and this is the best chili that I have ever tasted. Try it, You will like it. Got it in California from a Mexican lady. If you can not handle Hot Chile spices, try this one.

This will make a full Crock Pot:

Ingredients:
1-pound of hamburger - If you like more meat, cook more.
1 - pound bacon - chopped into small pieces.
1 - large onion, chopped fine.
3 - cloves of garlic minced.

The above should be browned together before placing it into the crock pot.

Add to the above mixture:
1 - cup of catsup
1/2 - cup brown sugar
1 - tablespoon of vinegar
1 - tablespoon of mustard
1 - large can of pork and beans - what ever brand you like, But, I like Bushes
2 - small cans of pinto beans
1 - large can of kidney beans
1 - medium can of stewed tomatoes - (diced )
1 - medium can of tomato sauce

Procedure:

Combine everything into the crock pot and simmer for about 3 to 4 hours

Comments:
