Here are some tips from Rollie: Many of us apply a pattern with graphite paper underneath to transfer a pattern to the wood. Fine. But sometimes the pattern doesn't go on all the way (spaces are missing). so after you tape the pattern to the wood make an X in two places on the top of the pattern that will extend onto the wood. This is so you can go back after the pattern has been removed and still get to the exact place it was originally. #2 Sometimes the tape, masking or cellophane, leaves a residue on the wood that is hard to get off without scraping. Use the tape they use in the hospitals that comes off easily and does not leave a residue. Works great, tears easily and good for a hundred other things! |
