This is the first issue of the Applied Pyrography Newsletter, which has been designed to offer a broad spectrum of information, ideas, help, education, and other items related to Pyrography and related projects. The frequency of new issues is not determined yet. They will be at least quarterly and could be monthly if there is enough reader interest and support. The goal is to provide information for the beginner as well. Any suggestions for improvement will be appreciated. Hopefully this Newsletter will improve and expand as new needs are determined.
Submissions of tutorials and information are appreciated and will benefit all. A wide range of topics will assure that there is something of interest for everyone.
I have a great interest in pyrography and the things that can be augmented by its use. This newsletter should provide some excellent ideas for projects that can be sold at craft shows, fund raisers, or even through small businesses.
It is amazing to see what
others have done and it
is their expertise that will
keep this newsletter alive.
I invite anyone who has an
idea, or something to share,
to let me know. This
newsletter is for everyone
and I hope that there is
a lot of reader participation.
A lot of pyrography is done
as art on a plaque, but it is
also used to enhance
utilitarian objects like
cutting boards,keychains,
coasters, boxes, baskets, etc.
These Newsletters will be
archived on CD. If you order
the CD it will contain all
newsletters up to the time
of the order,and
are available for $6.99, which
includes the shipping cost
within the US. To order the
CD, just go
to the order page and enter
the CD and cost. Click here.
Take a look at the free project
section and remember that
Mother's Day and Father's Day
will be coming up soon.
Nothing compares to a hand
crafted gift, made with the
efforts of love put

into it, unlike a regular store bought gift!

UPCOMING ARTICLES
Rollie Kohl has created a great tutorial on burning a Ram and has offered to share it with us. There are some very helpful pictures documenting his progress, as well as some very helpful text and guidance on how to do the burn. There were several techniques used along the way that he will share, starting in the next issue.
